Description

PICK UP YOUR PAINTBRUSHES, CHANNEL YOUR CREATIVITY, TRANSFORM OUR COMMUNITY.

As the cultural centerpoint of the Central Coast, Studios on the Park believes it is vital to fuse art and service to enhance our community. We want you to join us to tap into creativity for good as we combine forces to transform the side of 1215 Spring Street into Enjoy PASO, a 99’ long painted work of art!

We’re looking for creative volunteers who are 16 or older to sign up for an art creation session as we give visual life to our Paso Robles identity with this collaborative mural led by internationally recognized mural artist Pat Milbery and his So-Gnar Inc. team!

With Enjoy PASO, we aim to revitalize and beautify, inspire dialogue, and unite the community. The poet Pablo Neruda called murals “the people’s blackboard,” a sentiment that we intend to honor beginning with this piece but we need your help to do it. Please join us!

Dress code: Comfortable clothes for work and close-toed shoes (note: painting will be involved). Volunteer aprons will be provided.

Release & Waiver of Liability: In order to participate, all volunteers must bring a signed copy of the Studios Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability Form, available to download here: http://www.studiosonthepark.org/pdfs/Studios_Volunteer_Release_and_Waiver_of_Liability_Form.pdf

Post-painting party: Celebrate your part in Enjoy PASO with Art After Dark Paso at Studios on the Park on Saturday, March 3 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

About Artist Pat Milbery

Pat Milbery is, above all, a creative collaborator, as well known for the large-scale murals he's created alongside some of the most prominent graffiti artists in the world as he is for the playful photo shoots and video parts he's participated in as a pro snowboarder. His vivid street art collaborations adorn the walls of dozens of boutiques, breweries, bars, and other businesses in Denver and across the country, and he's helped curate and create major art installation projects for brands including Visit Denver, The City of Denver, Rino Arts District, The Ford Motor Company, X Games, Budweiser, Zumiez, Loveland Ski Area, Wahoo Fish Tacos, Academy 360 School, Denver University and Pabst Blue Ribbon. He has shared snowboard contest podiums with the likes of Shaun White and Travis Rice, and the Snowboard Camp Tour he founded to make freestyle riding more accessible to kids is now entering its second decade. He's also the co-owner of So-Gnar, an umbrella collective responsible for the Snowboard Camp Tour, the So-Gnar streetwear and apparel line he helps design, and the Shredded Beats hip-hop concert series he promotes. He's equally proud of his Minnesota roots and his Colorado transplant status, and splits his time between Denver and Golden and wherever his van full of snowboard gear and spraypaint cans takes him. His dog Tora, a spirited West Highland Terrier, follows him just about everywhere.
